In Lucha Libre, there are two paths for a wrestler to take: the technicians (or técnicos) or the rude ones (or rudos). Technicians are the “good guys,” the noble and heroic Luchadores that strive to uphold honor and integrity in the face of overwhelming opposition. Tecnico's wrestling style is more formal and elaborate than Rudo's. They expertly execute characteristic high flying attacks by using the wrestling ring's ropes to catapult themselves towards their opponents, using intricate combinations in rapid-fire succession, and applying complex submission holds. For their skills and nobility, técnicos are rewarded with the affection of the public, with cheers, requests for autographs, and general adulation.
Tecnico always follows the rules, never cheats (unlike the unpredictable rule-breaker and brawler Rudo) and tends to have very formal combat styles, close to martial arts techniques. It does not mean that Tecnico is boring to watch. On the contrary, Tecnico is a “high-flyer” and will spend more time in the air attacking his foe with leaps and assaults from the sky. His amazing aerial maneuvers and complicated acrobatic moves are awe-inspiring.
It takes years of training to gain mastery of complicated moves required of every Tecnico. Wrestlers do high jumps, back flips, flying leaps and body slams from the ring to the floor of the stadium. To prepare for this kind of physical challenge, wrestlers train by doing arm drags, free falls, body rolls and gymnastics.
Tecnico is noble in his approach to the sport and his refinement shows through. It is truly fun to see Tecnico twirl through the air from dizzying heights to get the better of his adversary.
Tequila Tecnico is a worthy member of our team of champions or parejas increibles (incredible pair). Produced from 100% Blue Agave in the Highlands of Jalisco, it honors the very spirit of Tecnico's character - noble, refined and elegant in style. This carefully elaborated tequila offers unparalleled smoothness and depth of flavor, which will satisfy even the most sophisticated palate. We age our tequila in white oaks bourbon barrels until alcohol mellows and the flavors of blue agave are perfectly married to the subtle toasted notes from the wood.
We are proud to present:
Tecnico Blanco is 100% Weber Blue Agave tequila, produced according to the traditional methods stemming back hundreds of years. Not aged in wooded casks by definition, Blanco packs the strongest punch of agave flavors. Tecnico Blanco "has a satiny lightweight body and a lingering, lightly peppered finish" (Robert Plotkin, American Cocktails).
Elaborated from the sought-after blue agaves grown in the Los Altos area, Tecnico Reposado is a formidable opponent for any competitor. Tecnico Reposado is aged in charred, American white oak barrels for a minimum of 4 months. It has a "lustrous amber hue, a satiny body and a spice and citrus bouquet. It is a marvelous spirits ideal for sipping neat or using in a classic cocktail" (Robert Plotkin, American Cocktails).
Tecnico Anejo is an unstoppable force, which will win you over. Elaborated from 100% blue agave by artisanal methods and matured for an impressive 18 months period in white oak bourbon barrels, this is an ultimate sipping tequila. Rated 92 (outstanding score) by Anthony Dias Blue, the founder of San Francisco World Spirits Competition).
